Baar Baar Dekho is a 2015 romantic drama Hindi film written and directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari starring Vidya Balan and Ayushmann Khurrana in lead roles.The movie was released on 14 September 2015 to mixed reviews. It has collected over Rs 35 million at the box office. The film, which portrays present-day love story, revolves around a lonely woman called Sheetal who wants to find her Mr Right but fails in her efforts for years; she then meets Rahul who changes the way she perceives love. A young woman Sheetal (Vidya Balan) is shown to be very unhappy with her life because she has never been lucky in love. She keeps complaining about the same to her best friend Shai (Amruta Subhash) who tries to tell Sheetal that there's no need to rush into marriage, but Sheetal is determined to find love at all costs. The story flashes back 18 years ago when Sheetal was 8 years old, she had a crush on her neighbour Rahul (Ayushmann Khurrana) who also happened to be her school friend. But soon Rahul's family moved away to Canada. Sheetal then moved on with life and grew up. She met her husband Rahul's best friend, Rahul's brother Vicky (Ayushmann Khurrana) who also happens to be her schoolmate. Her marriage with Vicky hadn't lasted long because she hadn't been able to give birth to a child. But while Sheetal was in college, she meets professor Pavan Kumar (Ayushmann Khurrana), who is just her opposite opposite. He too is not interested in marriage but eventually falls for Sheetal. He then proposes before Sheetal leaves the college after completing her graduation. She accepts his proposal but he too couldn't give birth to a child due to challenges in his health. Sheetal then moves on with her life again. However, it is shown that Sheetal has been going through a lot of pain because of the association with a man who couldn't fulfill her dreams of having a family of their own. When she meets Rahul again, she learns that he is in Goa for his annual vacation and she invites him to visit her in Mumbai. As they spend time together, Rahul realizes the reason behind Sheetal's pain and pulls away from her. However Sheetal follows him to Goa and they both meet at the wedding ceremony of his friend (Aamir Bashir). Rahul gets to know that Sheetal is in the same predicament he was in 18 years ago. Sheetal waits for him to come back to Mumbai but he doesn't come. Later on, she hears that Rahul had already gotten married. When she meets him, he says he has decided to end the marriage and "shares" his reason with her saying that Maya (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) had no interest in starting a family with him and didn't want her. Sheetal however forgives him saying she will always be there for him because it's not his fault but her own for waiting for someone who could love her unconditionally like Rahul did 18 years ago.
